Makeup | Changing Up My Makeup For Summer/Shopping My Stash!

I can tell this is going to be a looooong post, so bear with me!

I'm going to talk about the products that I pull out of the dusty drawers for the Summer sunshine. I'm talking, creamy, bronzey, glossy goodness all wrapped up in to one and slapped all over my face. Lets get in to it...

Cream Eyeshadows

L-R: Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Norma Jean and Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24Hr in On and On Bronze

I love these at the best of times so when it comes to Summer I'm all over these bad boys. These two particular ones are my absolute faveys at the moment. Creamy and easy-to-apply goodness in to one tiny pot. Slap on in the morning at 6am before work and I actually look presentable. The CT one is a different formula to what I've used before, but I LOVE IT. It's got a cooling feel when you apply it on to the lids, and it feels so good in the morning.

Glitter Pigments/Highlighter

Top L-R: MAC Pigment in Milk, Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Iridescent Gold.   Bottom L-R: Illamasqua Pigment, Topshop Glow in Polished

Yeeeesssss! These are my life during the Summer. The way the shimmer/glitter/iridescent catches the sun is beautimous and I can't stop staring at myself when I catch my pretty face in the mirror (I'm only jokingggg).
I urge you to get one, and in fact, my favourite one is the Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Iridescent Gold because it is pure beauty in a tiny £3.49 pot. No excuses.

Cream Blusher

L-R: NARS Mutiple in Orgasm, Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Promise

Dewy skin is my jam (but only in the Summer, I'm a matte kinda-gal in the Winter). I've written about the Illamasqua Cream Blushers here and you'll see that I rave about them! And the NARS mutiple is just a handy on-the-go/travel/top-up kind of product that you can pop in your makeup bag. It's exactly how the powder version looks on the skin, but more creamy in texture and I think I prefer this formula for Orgasm (not to say the powder blush version isn't good, because believe me, it is glittery heaven).

Contour

L-R: NARS Bronzer in Laguna, Travel/Sample size of Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Charlotte Tilbury's Sculpt and Highlight contour kit

I am definitely one of them people who look healthier with a tan (actually, that's probably everyone)... So, to fake it before I make it on a holiday or sunbathing in the English Summer sun I bronze my face, jawline and neck to smitherines just to look 'healthy'. These are all on par for me in terms of colour, application and quality. I use the Real Techniques Contour Brush which is the perfect shape and taper for the hollows of my cheeks.

Creamy/Glossy Formula Lipsticks

L-R: MAC Lustre Lipstick in Plumful, Revlon Lip Butters, Fresh Sugar Lipbalm in Ruby

These are the only kinds of lipsticks I'll use in the Summer. I do occasionally wear a matte red lippy, but I honestly don't have the patience for it in the Summer. These particular lipsticks are easy for me because I don't need a mirror to reapply and in fact these all pack a lot of punch, so I would only really reapply if my lips felt dry, not because I've lost the colour. Another one I have completely forgot to photograph is my Tom Ford's Lip Colour shine in Insidious.

WOW! I can talk when I want to talk about makeup. Anywho, I'm still sunning myself in Portugal, so this is a pre-uploaded blog post. Majority of these products I will be taking though, so lets hope they stand the test of 30+ degrees celcius heat!

What products will you be picking up to use this Summer? I may need to haul in a few makeup bits soon ;) (like I never do anyway...)

Hope you enjoyed this different kind of post, I've really enjoyed writing it actually! Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram to see what I've been up to in Portugal!
