Makeup | Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation - NEW HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION!

I bought this foundation on Thursday (13th August 2015) and I'm already IN-LOVE. This foundation has changed my life and that is a bold statement (even for me)! Think it's time for a new holy grail foundation review...

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10

My Summer tan shade. I have also bought a lighter shade (2N1) for Winter
BEFORE - No makeup. Just skincare and SPF (and also ignore the moustache and eyebrows that need sorting... lol oh dear)

BEFORE

AFTER - Just skincare, SPF and foundation on my face. I would still put some concealer under my eyes

I don't think I've fell in love with a foundation as quickly as I have for this one. It's a lightweight, high coverage, long-lasting, smudge-proof foundation. The colour match is perfect.
I think with it being summer, my foundation taste has changed; I would normally love a medium coverage foundation that leaves my skin a bit dewy that I like to powder on top. However, I'm loving this foundation for work purely because I didn't have to powder ONCE during the day (normally I have to do it at least twice)!

Once again, I was lucky enough to find this in my staff shop for £10 (RRP £30)!!! Hence why I bought a Summer and Winter shade for myself. I also bought the Estée Lauder Double Wear Light foundation (Shade Intesity 3.0) but I am yet to test this out. I think I might even prefer this one, because it is described as a lighter coverage and formulation as the original, but it's just a tad too light in colour for me at the moment. Nonetheless, I AM FRICKIN' LOVING THE ORIGINAL DOUBLE WEAR FOUNDATION.

Anyone else swear by this foundation?! Give me your thoughts in the comments if you've tried this too!

Make sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter (@abbylawbeauty); you'll find beauty related posts, but don't be alarmed if I post food, home inspo, puppies, food, nails and food posts on there too ;)

Makeup | Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 03 Strawberry Kissed

Who doesn't love talking about red lipstick?!! If you don't, AWAY WITH YOU! Nah, not really, you can stay. As long as you read this post ;)

Let's talk about my holy grail red lipstick for all eternity...

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 03 Strawberry Kissed

Random I know, but I just like the Guerlain flower thing.. It was used for testing perfumes in store

Ohhhh my gahd! This lipstick is glorious. That's all I need to say, so go try it now! BYE.

Not really lol I'm so funny.. not.

Sooooo... This is a cream lipstick formula that comes in tubular packaging and it is applied with a doe-foot applicator (as you can see in the pictures, duuuhhh Abby!). The applicator makes it easy for me to apply to all the corners of my (big) mouth.
The formula is out of this world. It applies quite liberally and creamy, it's almost like a lipgloss texture. However, after I apply a layer, it sets down matte. But not that unbearable, drying, flaky kind of matte that I normally encounter with other matte lipsticks. It stills feels creamy throughout the day and DOES. NOT. BUDGE.
If you're looking for long-lasting matte lipstick that isn't drying, then I urge urge URGE you to check this out!

What are your red lippy holy grails? Any other red lipsticks I should check out? I really should take the plunge and get the infamous MAC red lippies like Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, Russian Red etc. Let me know how you've got on with these lippies too!

Hope you liked this post. I know I've talked about this lippy a lot recently, so thought I would dedicate a whole post to it

See you tomorrow for my festival prepping/packing video!

Makeup | Everday Powder Blushes

Powder or cream blushers?

I have to admit, I can't decide; I love my Illamasqua cream blushers to death, but I'm partial to the dusty romantic look a light pinky rose powder blush can give....
These three are the powder blushers that I go to for my everyday. All a different type of pink; one simple bright pinky rose, one with shimmer and one more peachy.

NARS Powder Blush - Deep Throat

Bobbi Brown Powder Blush - Pink Coral

Sephora Powder Blush - Orange Pop

NARS Powder Blush - Deep Throat
Dodgy name, but this is my holy holy holy grail powder blush. A blue-toned pink with golden shimmer = perfection in a pan for my skin colour. It makes my skin GLOW and look healthy. It's the perfect finishing touch to my makeup.

Bobbi Brown Powder Blush -Pink Coral
Another holy holy holy grail. It's the perfect blue-toned, (see the pattern?) everyday, rosy pink. I probably use this more in the Winter as it gives that dusty and romantic look because it doesn't have any shimmer. But don't get me wrong, I will use this when my skin is looking FLAAAOOOWWLESS and I wanna inject some colour in to my skin - note, I don't contour everyday, so I use blusher as a way to make myself look alive.

Sephora Powder Blush - Orange Pop
This is my summer blush. Peach, verging on a little red-ish in tone. It lasts on my skin ALL DAY - no primer or setting sprays used. It has a way with my powder brush to not pick up too much so that it doesn't cause that disastrous makeup mishap of making you look like a clown. It's just so pigmented and has the staying powder equivalent to a Sharpie pen. (Don't fret, it does comes off with your makeup when you wash your face in the evening).

What are you everyday holy grail blushers? Any other brands that I should try out?

I will have a video up tomorrow about skincare! Hooray!

Skincare | Khiels Midnight Recovery Oil

Haiyoooo! How are we all on this fine Sunday? :)

We're gonna be talking about skincare today! A new holy grail for me...

Khiels Midnight Recovery Oil

Formula: A clear oil
Application: Mix two to three drops in with my night time moisturiser
When: Evening skincare routine
Do I love?: YES. A holy grail product
Anything I would change: The glass packaging - I would just decant into something small and plastic when travelling
Price: £36 - Considering I've had this way over a year this is a good price (AND I DROPPED A THIRD OF THE BOTTLE ON MY CARPET)

Now, as mentioned in my April Favourites video (which you should totally GO WATCH NOW check out when you're finished reading this) I didn't particularly get on with this product when I was using it on it's own - basically in replacement to my moisturiser. It was leaving me with tiny tiny tiny pimples/spots in the morning that were still red and visible on my skin (which meant more concealing). It was extremely visible on my forehead so I was getting a bit fed up of using it and I left it for a couple of months... Then one evening I was like, you know what, I should just try it out seeing as I paid good money for it! So I mixed a couple of drops in my moisturiser as I had heard other bloggers doing this too.

The results were spellbounding....

My skin never looked so plump and moisturised in my life! There were no tiny red spots and my skin felt so soft and bouncy. It was as if I'd found the meaning of life the next morning - I was so happy with the results!

Now I know how my skin likes me to use this product, it has become an essential in my skincare routine!

How do you use this oil? Any other facial oils I should try? I really wanna get my hands on a Sunday Riley one, but can't bare to see that amount of money leave my bank....

I'll see you tomorrow for a Summer Makeup look on my YouTube channel!
