Video | Update Morning Skincare Routine

Happy Monday guys!

As mentioned in the video, I promised myself that I wouldn't film this video. Only because the "routine" itself hasn't changed, but the products I used in my old video would have been used up and I would have used so many products since then! Oh well, why not?!

Skincare | Couple of Clinique products..

Lets talk about you and me, lets talk about Clinique baby....

Hello again! What a glorious day it was today. Sun was a-shining and it seems as though my garden is a suntrap and I have no garden chairs to sit on! Tut. But that doesn't matter anyway because I've been editing my video for the last 4 hours and although it took so long, I'm really proud of the results! You'll be able to see it tomorrow on my YouTube channel, so keep your peepers peeled for that!

So, on to some Clinique products I've been loving soooo much lately

Once again, ignore my dry hands...

That brown colour you can see is my fingers behind the cotton pad... not the lotion lol

As you can see, it blends out to be quite pale

You can't see it here, but it does give veeeery very light coverage to your skin

Clinique Clarifying Lotion Mild

Formula: A liquid toner which looks silky and smooth in the bottle (but that doesn't translate when you apply it)
Application: Apply to cotton pad and swipe across the face. Flip cotton pad and swipe across the face again
When: Evening skincare routine (but can be used for both morning and evening)
Do I love?: YES YES YES
Anything I would change: I think I would like a little cap with the hole in it over the opening just so the product doesn't come gushing out every time (basically like the Pixi Glow Tonic)
Price: RRP £16.50 for 200ml

I LOVE THIS TONER. MORE THAN ANY OTHER SKINCARE PRODUCT I HAVE USED. That bumpiness/the pimples on my forehead I keep going on about? GONE. The softness of my skin? SMOOTH AS A BABY'S BUTTOCKS. Did I get this on discount at Bicester Village? YES.
This has changed the skincare game for me. I think I must get along with BHA's (i.e. Salicylic acid) more so than AHA's (i.e. glycolics). I'm not complaining though!

Clinique City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25

Formula: A tinted cream SPF product for your face
Application: Rub in to skin after skincare routine
When: Morning skincare routine
Do I love?: Yes, but I have not tried any other facial SPF's
Anything I would change: It would have to be the colour of the tint. It's too pale! I'd rather they just made it white and made it so the colour disappeared in to the skin. But I'm sure that's something to do with it being a physical/chemical SPF??
Price: RRP £18 for 40ml

I've been loving this for the most part whilst Summer is kicking in. I KNOW I KNOW, I should be wearing SPF everyday... But my foundation and daily moisturiser definitely has SPF in so I thought it would suffice. But as the Sun is actually making an appearance here in the UK, thought I should start putting on my Clinique City Block again. It's a non-oily formula which makes it perrrrfecto under makeup. However, as mentioned above, the colour of the tint is way too pale for my skin tone (and that's saying something considering I'm pale atm because I haven't been out in the sun and haven't fake tanned recently)! But seeing as I apply my foundation over the top, I'm not toooo bothered about this..

What Clinique products have you been using lately? I wanna try out some more skincare products because I know that they work and are fairly affordable in the skincare world!

See you tomorrow for a video!

Skincare | Omorizca Thermal Cleansing Balm

Yay or Nay? I'm afraid it's a Nay from me.... Read on to find out why

Omorizca Thermal Cleansing Balm

I have never been disapointed in a skincare product before. There's been a couple of things where I'm like "meh" but there hasn't been anything that I'm completely upset about because it didn't work for me... (I'm over it now, don't worry).

Formula: A balm with parts of mud/clay in which dissapear when rubbed in to the skin and turns in to a oily formula
Application: Rub in to skin to remove make up/use as a second cleanse
When: Evening skincare routine
Do I love?: NO. Complete and utter no
Anything I would change: Well, I guess it would have to be the formula! Leaves an oily film over my skin, even after I've washed it off with a flannel. It does not remove eye makeup at all, so I would have to use a separate eye make up remover
Price: £46 for 50ml. Omorizca are known as a premium skincare brand due to the source of the ingredients in their products

As you can see from above, this completely does not work for me! It doesn't remove my eye makeup (so can't tell if it has taken off my face makeup well either) and leaves an oily film, so I have to use another oily cleanser to take this weird oily-ness off my skin.

Am I using it wrong? What are your experiences with this cleanser? I was really hoping this would work for me as I've heard rave reviews about it! Sad times :(

Anyway, apologies for a disapointing product post, but tbh, I'd like to know how you guys use it and if it is effective. For now I will stick to The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Oil or the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish.

See you tomorrow for a May Faves video over on my Youtube channel!

Skincare | Khiels Midnight Recovery Oil

Haiyoooo! How are we all on this fine Sunday? :)

We're gonna be talking about skincare today! A new holy grail for me...

Khiels Midnight Recovery Oil

Formula: A clear oil
Application: Mix two to three drops in with my night time moisturiser
When: Evening skincare routine
Do I love?: YES. A holy grail product
Anything I would change: The glass packaging - I would just decant into something small and plastic when travelling
Price: £36 - Considering I've had this way over a year this is a good price (AND I DROPPED A THIRD OF THE BOTTLE ON MY CARPET)

Now, as mentioned in my April Favourites video (which you should totally GO WATCH NOW check out when you're finished reading this) I didn't particularly get on with this product when I was using it on it's own - basically in replacement to my moisturiser. It was leaving me with tiny tiny tiny pimples/spots in the morning that were still red and visible on my skin (which meant more concealing). It was extremely visible on my forehead so I was getting a bit fed up of using it and I left it for a couple of months... Then one evening I was like, you know what, I should just try it out seeing as I paid good money for it! So I mixed a couple of drops in my moisturiser as I had heard other bloggers doing this too.

The results were spellbounding....

My skin never looked so plump and moisturised in my life! There were no tiny red spots and my skin felt so soft and bouncy. It was as if I'd found the meaning of life the next morning - I was so happy with the results!

Now I know how my skin likes me to use this product, it has become an essential in my skincare routine!

How do you use this oil? Any other facial oils I should try? I really wanna get my hands on a Sunday Riley one, but can't bare to see that amount of money leave my bank....

I'll see you tomorrow for a Summer Makeup look on my YouTube channel!

Skincare | Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

MAYDAY! MAYDAY! It's May!!!

Guys, I went to Bicester Village yesterday... And I'm pleased to announce that I spent under £100!!! Can I get a round of applause?! *pats self on back* What a miracle ey!
BUT... I am actually contemplating going back today because I left some amazing Kooples shoes behind that were a great bargain.... and some Mui Miu sunglasses... oops!

Anyway, lets talks about a new skincare fave from April...

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

Apologies for the dry hands.... I got them from my momma

Formula: An orange coloured gel like consistency when it comes from the pump dispenser which turns in to an oily consistency when it is rubbed in to the skin
Application: I squeeze two pumps (one isn't enough for my massive face) and start rubbing in to dry skin. This is when it starts turning oily. The delicious smell is released to your nasal region and you can't help but inhale!
When: Morning and evening (only for a second cleanse). Then straight in with the skincare routine
What does it do: Removes the gunk(!!) from my face and doesn't leave it stripped at all.
Do I love?: YES. A new favourite cleanser that requires repurchasing.
Anything I would change: Packaging. Completely white, do not know when I'm going to run out!
Price: £28 from Cult Beauty

Okay, so it's not the cheapest cleanser there is, and there are some that I love that are like less than half the price. But the fact that it smells amazing (not like that should matter, but obviously it does....) and I get on the with the formula so well, it's okay to spend a little more on something you enjoy using - it's not like it's a £80 cleanser!

Anyone else tried this? What are your opinions? Worth the price tag? Let me know! If you have alternatives, let me know down below too!

See you tomorrow for a video of my April Favourites where I will talk about this cleanser in a bit more depth!
